Pakistan Commits to #womenempowement!

Ms. Ume Laila Azhar, Chairperson of the National Commission on the Status of Women, Islamabad (NCSW) #Pakistan, met with Ms. Katrina Fotovat, Senior Bureau Official, Office of Global Women's Issues, US Department of State, today in New York.

The chairperson briefed Ms. Fotovat on the steps taken by the Government of Pakistan to advance women's rights, including the establishment of legal, judicial, economic, and administrative safeguards to ensure #genderequality & promote women's empowerment.

Pakistan is committed to working with international and national partners to strengthen support for gender equality initiatives and promote women representation across all spheres of life.
