We are announcing a groundbreaking partnership between the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) and the National Commission on the Status of Women, Islamabad (NCSW), dedicated to advancing #womenempowermentmovement in Pakistan.

CEO PPAF Nadir Gul Barech and NCSW Chairperson Ms. Nilofar Bakhtiar signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) in Islamabad. Marking the beginning of a collaborative journey towards #genderequality and #economicdevelopment.

Through this partnership, we aim to:

Conduct research with academia to explore avenues for women's involvement in poverty reduction, economic growth, digitalization, participatory development, and climate change response.

Advocate for gender-equal policies with the Women's Parliamentary Caucus

Address barriers to women's economic participation through inter-ministerial dialogues.

Collaborate with Dukhtaran E Pakistan to amplify initiatives across the nation.

Chairperson Nilofar Bakhtiar praised the collaboration as a landmark in promoting #gender equality, essential for achieving sustainable development goals. She informed the forum that #NCSW has already been coordinating with the provinces and is having commissions present across #Pakistan. Only Gilgit-Baltistans's commission is left and soon it ll be constituted too while for the implementation on laws for rights and empowering women National commission on the status of women is looking forward for an active participation through this partnership.
