NCSW and FCDO Strengthen Partnership to Advance Gender Equality and Women’s Rights in Pakistan

Chairperson, National Commission on the Status of Women (NCSW), Ms. Noureen Bano Lehri, was called on by a delegation from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), led by Ms. Asma Kiran, Country Lead Social Development. During the meeting, the FCDO delegation briefed the Chairperson on its ongoing initiatives and strategic interventions focused on promoting gender equality, social protection, and inclusive development across Pakistan. The Chairperson, along with the Secretary, NCSW, engaged in a detailed and constructive discussion with the delegation to explore avenues for enhanced collaboration.

The meeting emphasized identifying joint opportunities to strengthen legislative frameworks, advance policy advocacy, and reinforce institutional mechanisms aimed at protecting and promoting women’s rights. Both sides underscored the importance of sustained partnerships and coordinated efforts to achieve impactful and inclusive outcomes.
