Chairperson National Commission on the Status of Women, Islamabad Ume Laila Azhar participated in a dialogue session hosted by the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) Gender Equity Policy Network (G-PEN). The session aimed to promote gender equity and empower women in #Pakistan.

Experts during their discussions emphasized the importance of providing better basic facilities, education, and skills training to strengthen women's roles in society. They also highlighted the need for improved health facilities, financial stability, and decision-making opportunities for #women.

The participants unanimously agreed that women #empowerment is crucial for Pakistan's #economic development. To achieve this, they proposed providing market-based skills training and education, improving working conditions, and increasing flexibility in work arrangements.

It was shared that, NCSW has been already striving towards achieving gender equality and empowering women in Pakistan.
