2022 - 16 Days Of Activisim Day 3 Morning Event- National Forum on “Addressing GBV in the Next Normal” 29th Nov:
At Islamabad today, the topic of gender based violence was dissected with the team of Asian Development Bank in commemoration of the 16 Days of Activism. As a key speaker, Chairperson NSCW shed light upon the Noor Mukaddam case, post-flood situation for women, importance of empowered institutions & COVID-19. The team of NCSW gave a presentation on CEDAW & commitments to gender based violence.
We were joined by Asad Aleem, Deputy Country Director ADB & Ms. Nida Azhar Secretary Punjab Commission on the Status of Women.
Gender based violence is not and will never be okay. Change begins through conversation & solidarity. The 16 Days of Activism is alive and active!
2021 -16 Days Of Activisim Day 3 - 16 days of Activism in KPK kicked off from the KPK Assembly 29th Nov:
On November 29th, the 16 Days of Activism was kickstarted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) in the KP assembly in which Chairperson NCSW was invited by Speaker of the Assembly, Mushtaq Ghani. Challenges faced by the women in the provinces and current steps being taken by the Provincial Government was deliberated upon.
