16 Days of Activism Day 10 2021-2022 Activities - Event 1

2022 - 16 Days Of Activisim Day 10  -  at The silver jubilee of the SDP 8th Dec 2022:

Event 1: To commemorate the silver jubilee of the SDPI, we focused on the way in which policymakers can pave a way forward for overcoming social norms and bridging the gender inequality in South Asia, in collaboration with the World Bank. We discussed the importance of inclusion of women in our current socio-economic set up in Pakistan.

In order to tackle these challenges, the current initiatives by the NCSW include the National Gender Data Portal for accurate and reliable gender-senstive data, as well as the ongoing 16 Days of Activism Campaign. It is essential for policymakers at all government levels to innovate & implement gender sensitive policies to close the gender gap prevalent in our nation.

We were joined by Ms. Ammara Durani, Assistant Representative UNDP and Dr. Maurizio Bussolo, Lead Economist, Chief Economist Office for South Asia, World Bank.
