Violence often continues when it is normalized. Raising awareness is the first step towards helping women suffering from domestic abuse. These films are targeted to all audiences so that women whether rural or urban understand what their rights are. These films have been produced in collaboration with Ministry of Human Rights and Sharmeen Obaid Chinnoy Films. 

Sexual Harassment

Sexual harassment is illegal under section 509 of the Pakistan Penal Code. The film explains the crimes that fall under this category, the penalties for perpetrators, as well as complaint and grievance redressal mechanisms for victims of sexual harassment.

Rape

Rape is a crime under section 375 of the Pakistan Penal Code. The film explores the legal process and punishments for Rape in Pakistan. Rape cases are to be decided within a period of 3 months. Perpetrators can face up to 25 years in prison or even the death penalty.

Nikkah Nama

The film explores critical legal aspects and repercussions of signing a marriage contract, so that women can make informed decisions and understand their legal rights with regards to marriage.

How to register an FIR

The film focuses on the importance of registering an FIR, the conditions in which an FIR should be registered and process of registering one. The film serves as a public service message encouraging women to report crimes through the correct channels.

The film discusses inheritance laws in Pakistan on the basis of our constitution and religion. It highlights the issue of women who are deprived of their rights to inheritance and property. It emphasizes the right of women to inherit property after the death of their spouse, sibling or parent.
